My name is Chloe Brinkley, and my events include pole bending, barrel racing, and I have just began breakaway roping. After high school, I plan to go to college to be a veterinary radiologist, as well as do college rodeo.
The last 4 years have been awesome! I’ve been able to compete in so many great places and made lots of great friends. Thanks to everyone that’s helped me over the last 4 years! After I graduate I’ll be attending Piedmont Community College and competing in the VCA’s. I’ll miss everyone!
I joined Virginia High School Rodeo Team my sophomore year of high school. When I first started, I didn’t really know what all the rodeo was about and how time you really needed to put into it. When I qualified for Nationals in Wyoming, I started to get close to some of my teammates, and felt more apart of the team. My junior year I put all of my focus into riding and preparing for rodeos so that I could make it to nationals again. I ended up being champion for pole bending. I went to Nationals again that was held in Oklahoma. Since this is my last year of High School Rodeo, I plan to work harder than ever to make it to nationals again this summer. After I graduate, I will be attending Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Georgia where I plan to get an animal science degree for a pre vet. I plan on taking my horse with me to continue to barrel race and to participate in rodeos held at my school.
